State of the art robotic welds ensure perfect welds on all muffler seam surfaces. Oxygen sensor port allowing for standard lambda sensor for stock applications or wide band operation if desired. Header flanges allow for four stud mounting with thick 3/8 flanges. Great quality sound and ease of installation
Many owners claim this kit is the pinnacle of exhaust systems for the DeLorean's PRV. Now that it is installed, I have to agree. Fitment was perfect. Installation was straightforward and painless. Josh's communication for any questions I did have was prompt, and supportive. Sound compared to stock is much more sports-car-like. The build quality and welds are top notch. The most "difficult" part of the installation was rerouting of the wire harness on the passenger side, but Josh's suggestions made tackling that a breeze. I do recommend some protective heat wrap for the wires for some added protection and piece of mind in that regard. Overall, this system is 10/10.

Quality is unmatched by any other competitor. Installation was easy and all parts in description came organized individually in bags. Sounds really good deeper tone at idle, and has a nice sporty tone at revs above 3k. Really like the new design without the heat shields over the cats.

I have the catless version on my DeLorean and the catted version on my wife’s DeLorean. Both are great. I’ve had experience installing a Stage 1, and this system has numerous tweaks that make installation much easier. This system is also significantly less expensive. The only issue I had is the heat shields for the cats started to come apart from the cats. When trying to remove the cats for a lifetime warranty replacement (that DPI stands behind), the muffler and cats were stuck together, and the muffler ended up being damaged when I tried to separate them. DPI sold me a new muffler (it was actually a newer design than what I had and still worked with my older hardware) at a discounted price and warrantied the cats at no cost. This is a great product backed by a company that takes care of their customers if an issue does occur.

The best upgrade I did for my DeLorean so far! It sounds awesome and it's easy to install. Also improved performance! I recommend!

Spec 1 Exhaust
DPI has built an awesome exhaust system. This exhaust is all stainless and comes with everything needed to install. The components fit perfectly and installation is a breeze. The build quality is great. The header flanges are thick and very durable. As you may of read elsewhere this exhaust accepts 4 studs per port and the system comes with 12 studs and nuts to add 2 more per exhaust port. The system also has a great exhaust note and makes the DeLorean sound like a sports car should. There is no drone when cruising but a great aggressive tone when accelerating. Yes I also notice an improved performance just by bolting this exhaust on. A few other advantages are, Improved look from the rear of the car. Cleaned up engine bay. Tail pipes that fit the vehicle perfectly and work well with the rear facia. Also a decrease in heat around the engine from the removal of the crossover pipe, The Spec 1 keeps the exhaust low and to the rear of the car. Oil filter is still readily accessable for easy maintenance.

The way the DeLorean should have originally sounded!
If you want a good strong sound that gives the DeLorean that aggressive euro tone? Then look no further! The Spec 1 exhaust opens up the car for better breathing and snappier throttle responce! Fit and finish are VERY nice and easy and falls right into place. Been on the car for 4 years now and no exhaust leaks or blown gaskets. If you want to be heard and seen in your DeLorean, this is the way to go!
